Hello everyone,
We hope you all are having a wonderful time with your families, watching football, and enjoying some delicious Thanksgiving classics. In our Thanksgiving newsletter from last year, we gave you all sorts of ammunition to antagonize your liberal relatives at Thanksgiving dinner. We still encourage you to engage in some harmless political banter; however, Thanksgiving is a holiday that is really about family. While we disagree over politics, and those disagreements are meaningful, it is important that we are able to put all that aside and recognize how thankful we all are to have our families, all together, living in the greatest country in the world.
Indeed, Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday. Even during these troubled times, Americans have plenty to be grateful for. We live in the only nation centered on protecting the human condition of liberty, allowing its citizens to pursue prosperity and happiness how they see fit. We also live in a nation safe from those who wish to destroy our liberties, thanks to the countless men and women stationed overseas, protecting our homeland. We are especially grateful for their sacrifice today. Across the world, billions yearn to enjoy these blessings of liberty as Americans do. We must never take them for granted.
Regrettably, every year, online culture warriors attempt to problematize Thanksgiving, calling us to repent for celebrating the holiday because of its complex history. Regardless of their wish to put a damper on things, we hope you and your loved ones can at least appreciate today as a time to be grateful. All too often, especially this time of year, we get caught up in our daily lives and neglect to pause and count our blessings. This Thanksgiving we encourage our readers to take a moment and remember all there is to be grateful for: from the country we live in to the food on our plates.
Happy Thanksgiving from Lone Conservative.
