VAN NATTA: The Marxist Agenda to Sexualize Children in Government Schools

Glen Younkin won the Virginia gubernatorial race largely because of the issue of Critical Race Theory (CRT). CRT has permeated school districts nationwide and has caused an uproar among parents. However, there is a far more pernicious ideology lurking in the classroom shadowsCritical Queer Theory.

Queer Theory is a strain of Marxism that replaces class with sexuality and gender identity. Matthias Walsh in LGBTQ Nation defines Queer Theory as “a field of study that challenges existing traditional ideas about identity, sexuality, and gender…”

The Godfather of Queer Theory is Michel Foucault. He believed that a “traditionally patriarchal society” created “oppressive sexual norms.” Unfortunately, the sexual norms Foucault aimed to disrupt were centered around adolescents. In 1977, French intellectuals including Foucault signed a petition in defense of lowering the age of consent.

In a disturbing essay titled Queer futurity and childhood innocence: Beyond the injury of development Hannah Dyer writes that queerness “undoes identity.” She elaborates that “queer is not what makes us recognizable to the other it is what undoes us and what, here, can work to undo the innocent Child.” Queer theory is intent on disrupting childhood innocence, which Queer Theorists believe is socially constructed to protect “heteronormativity.”

They claim heteronormativity is a “performance” and that childhood innocence is manufactured to prevent children from discovering their true selves. James Lindsay, in his podcast New Discourses, notes that “identity itself is a problem” for Queer Theorists. They need to deliberately confuse children about their gender and sexuality. Individuals who are unsure of their identities are “easily manipulated” and radicalized into becoming Marxist revolutionaries.

Critical Queer Theory is rampant in American sex education programs. Planned Parenthood and United Nations-backed Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) educates children about sexuality, gender identity, abortion, and various risky sexual behaviors. States including California, New Jersey, and Oregon have adopted explicit comprehensive sex education programs.

Currently, a more covert way of indoctrinating children is being employed through Social Emotional Learning (SEL). According to the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, SEL is “transformative” and aims to promote “justice-oriented civic engagement.” The government is tracking students through surveys to assess their emotional state. Many of the surveys ask questions about the student’s gender identity and sexuality.

In some schools, teachers are actively prying into the identities of their students. Abigayle Shrier reported that the California Teachers Association (CTA) had a conference on how to run Gay Straight-Alliance (GSA) clubs in “conservative communities.”

According to Shrier, “Speakers went so far as to tout their surveillance of students’ Google searches, internet activity, and hallway conversations in order to target sixth graders for personal invitations to LGBTQ clubs, while actively concealing these clubs’ membership rolls from participants’ parents.”

Critical Queer Theory has successfully infiltrated the public education system, but the agenda behind it has nothing to do with protecting LGBT students. However, that is precisely what Queer Theorists want.

Children need to be in a constant state of distress and emotional turmoil so they can be recruited as loyal activists. Queer Theory is the epitome of “the ends justify the means” mentality. Marxists are willing to sacrifice childhood innocence to achieve their version of “utopia,” and the American education system is their latest target.
