The Lone Conservative Weekly: April 4

Dear Readers,

We wish you a Happy Easter and a Happy Passover.

This week, our Jewish readers celebrated the festival of Passover. The escape of the Israelites from bondage in the land of Egypt is one of history’s greatest miracles. We hope you all enjoyed gathering with family—whether virtually or in person—to celebrate these eight days of commemoration and reflection.

In a beautiful reminder of the glorious mysteries of Easter, Bishop Robert Barron discussed the Terror of the Grave and the Truth of the Resurrection in this week’s Sunday Sermon. It is well worth the watch.

In National Review this week, Joseph Loconte writes a splendid recount of the J.R.R. Tolkien’s discussion with C.S. Lewis that moved Lewis to Christianity.

Also worth listening to this Easter Sunday is a beautiful rendition of “He’s So Wonderful” by James H. East, sung by Kisma Jordan. Hats off to Jay Nordlinger for sharing his ten-year-old tradition on Twitter.

We hope you all have a blessed day.

God Bless,
