Former South Carolina Governor and U.N. Ambassador under the Trump Administration, Nikki Haley, has launched her new policy group, Stand for America.
After her departure from the Trump Administration, Haley made it clear that ‘[she] wanted to take a little time off.’ However, it was very clear that Haley was not finished in the political realm yet. There were even some rumors about a possible 2020 run, but she squashed those when she asserted that she will be supporting the President and his reelection.
Though a presidential run has been put on the back burner, Nikki Haley’s political aspirations are not. Haley has a launched a new political advocacy group, called “Stand for America,” which will focus on domestic and international policy and legislation.
A tour of the website reveals that Haley’s goals for her non-profit is to tackle the threat of socialism, advocate for congressional term limits, border security, public safety, foreign threats, and American culture.
According to the website, Haley founded Stand for America to “promote public policies that strengthen America’s economy, culture, and national security.” The site also tells Haley’s story of being born to a family of Indian immigrants in South Carolina, attending Clemson University, and being elected to the South Carolina governorship.
During her time as Ambassador to the United Nations, Haley gained crucial foreign policy experience abroad. She is often quoted for her bold and courageous words when she stood up to the Human Rights Council and defended one of our closest allies, Israel. Stand for America lists China, Russia, Iran, and Latin America as Haley’s focuses for foreign relations.
Though we may be a few years away from a Haley/Crenshaw presidential ticket, this new policy group is a exciting turn in Nikki Haley’s career and all of us at Lone Conservative can’t wait to see what comes next from one of our greatest role models!
