5 Reasons Why Cats are the PUURFECT Conservative Pet

There has been a substantial amount of anti-cat rhetoric permeating throughout social media. Being the owner of three cats (Skittles, Leo, and Lea), I find this problematic and frankly, very disheartening.

Cats fight many harmful stereotypes. Some of these include the ideas that cats are all mean, cats do not love their owners, and, perhaps the most harmful stereotype, that cats are libs.

This is simply not the case. Here are the facts:

  1. Cats are incredibly self-sufficient and a picture of personal responsibility!

Cats do not need to be let out of the house to do their business. They are great hunters as well, so if need be, they could live outside!

  1. Cats believe in the right to self-defense!

If they had thumbs, they’d be big proponents of the 2nd Amendment!

  1. Cats are ALL ABOUT individual liberty!

They don’t want to be bothered when they don’t want to be bothered! That is why they sometimes lash out when you try to pet them. Next time, ask for consent…

  1. Cats are pro-life!

Cats do whatever they can to care for their families, especially their kittens! Mothers sometimes adopt kittens and raise them as their own.

  1. Cats LOVE the free market… of treats and snuggles!

When they want it, cats LOVE giving you love, and in return, you give them treats. That’s the free market for ya!

I hope we can leave our cat hate in 2018 and give them the recognition they deserve for living out conservative values and principles!
