Pro-life Activist, Ryan Roberts, founder of “Abortion Clinic LIVE,” was brutally assaulted by a man in a truck while standing outside of a Whole Woman’s Health clinic, based in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday, January 11th.
As can be seen in the video, the man who attacked Roberts threatened him by asking if he and his family wanted to die before the assailant was provoked by the phrase, “Jesus loves you” and then charged at Roberts from across the street swinging. The assailant left a gash above Robert’s right eye that started to bleed profusely.
Before Roberts’ was assaulted, he was attempting to talk to those thinking about aborting their children and spread to them the love of Jesus Christ in hopes of stopping people from murdering their unborn children by aborting them. Clearly stunned from the vicious blows to his face, Roberts took a few moments to gather himself, but quickly continued with his mission of spreading Jesus’ love and attempting to sway people from killing their unborn children.
He is seen in the video trying to get people to look at his bleeding face and saying he was assaulted for their baby and that he would do it again for them. “Jesus loves you so much! I just got assaulted out here by a random man who drove by. You should see my face. I am covered in blood. but it’s okay.”
Speaking about the incident, Roberts said, “I knew it was going to happen eventually. I told myself if that happened, I was going to take it. Like Jesus. And I did.”
Roberts, in the video, claims that the reason he does this is because his mother almost chose to abort him. He also claims in the video that he and the local pastor he was with, Mark Lee Dickson of SovereignLOVE Church, were able to speak with a young woman about God and were able to convince her out of an abortion.
Dickson explained to FaithWire that the entire assault episode was caught on film and that nothing Roberts did was provocative or could have been angering to the assailant, other than what was said by Roberts about Jesus’ love. He went on to say that the man who attacked Roberts arrived at the Whole Woman’s Health and was not there to pick up or drop off anyone. He went on to say, “Not everyone likes what we say and not everyone likes what we do. Sometimes we see them respond violently.”
Roberts noted that he was shocked that the man assaulted him because the assailant claimed to be Christian and had Jesus stickers “all over his truck.”
Dickson, the local pastor, informed FaithWire that the police identified a suspect and that charges will be filed as a religious hate crime.
