New Conservative Media Emerges from the ‘Fake News’ Ashes

Sunday, December 31, 2017

Conservatives are vastly outnumbered in the media. Mainstream news outlets like CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, LA Times, USA Today etc, all advocate for left-wing politics. This massive disadvantage has lead conservatives to distrust the media. They feel that their beliefs are marginalized because they don’t have many voices broadcasting their beliefs.

Until recently, Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post were the only major outlets giving conservatives any representation. Fortunately, with the rise of online media, conservatives have started speaking up and disseminating their beliefs like never before. Due to the rise of conservative media, there are many new conservative sites with unique perspectives.

Here is a list of newly established conservative news websites:

1) The Daily Wire

Founded by Ben Shapiro. The Daily Wire has a multitude of conservative articles that counter the leftist narrative and 3 podcasts hosted by Ben Shapiro, Andrew Klavan, and Michael Knowles. These thoroughly enjoyable podcasts give conservative viewpoints on the day’s news in an informative and clever manner.

2) Campus Reform

A website where conservative college students can report on the liberal bias on college campuses, the limits of conservative free speech, and all other forms of liberal lunacy that occur on their campus.

3) Red Alert Politics

Another conservative outlet that focuses on the issues relevant to millennial conservatives. Based in DC, Red Alert Politics does an annual “30 under 30” list of the 30 most influential conservatives to follow under the age of 30.

4) The Daily Signal

A conservative site published by the Heritage Foundation. It focuses on foreign and domestic issues that go under-reported or unreported by the left’s MSM.

5) The Daily Caller

Founded by Tucker Carlson and gives a conservative perspective on politics, business, world news, entertainment, sports, education, technology, outdoors and energy. The Daily Caller sees itself as a counter to the left-wing Huffington Post.

6)  Lone Conservative

Last but not least, our own is an outlet for college-age students to blog about their conservative beliefs and to challenge the left-wing campus ideological monopoly.

In the internet arena, there has also been a major increase in conservative and libertarian viewpoints in the form of videos on YouTube and Facebook. Steven Crowder’s channel is a great platform for humorous and informative conservative content, while also having scores of unique conservative guests to discuss their beliefs.

Dave Rubin’s, The Rubin Report, does a phenomenal job of giving conservatives the ability to have a discussion and form a dialogue with the show’s host. Interestingly, Dave Rubin is a classical liberal, but has had a major ideological split with what he calls “The Regressive Left’s” victimhood ideology. He believes strongly in encouraging free speech, and often gives a platform to the conservative perspective.

Stefan Molyneux’s channel discusses the complex philosophical arguments of the importance of limited government, and the problems with mass migration.

PragerU is a great resource for educational videos on conservatism that feature many prominent conservatives.

Tomi Lahren’s Final Thoughts is a rapid-fire destruction of the leftist media narrative and a new voice for the right.

Paul Joseph Watson, Ann Lieven, and Blaire White all have interesting conservative youtube channels that pick apart left-wing arguments.

In today’s era, conservatives are encouraged to speak up. As online media has grown, the new conservative media has flourished. If you’re a young conservative who wants to expand your activism, there has been no better time than now. With so many new outlets, conservatives no longer have to hide and be constantly indoctrinated by the left. The new conservative media gives us all a voice. Young conservatives have never been better equipped to take on the left in the free market of ideas. It’s up to us to forge ahead with our activism and continue to keep new conservative media strong. We can never regress back to the days when MSM had a monopoly on the narrative.
